  • 'Good to be green' reward event

    17th December 2013

    This afternoon, we were delighted to host our first 'Good to be green' reward event!

    Children who have consistently shown fantastic behaviour around the school, have been rewarded with a ‘treat’ afternoon.

    Sam's Safari joined us to perform a pantomime and introduce a range of animals to the children.

    The children really enjoyed the afternoon! Well done to all of the green children!

    School placed 22nd out of all schools in Doncaster. Well done to all staff and pupils!

  • Forest school visit for year 1 and 2

    4th November 2013

    Just to remind you the visits to the forest school are on Thursday for year 2 and Friday for year 1. Children will need suitable outdoor clothing and footwear as detailed in previous letter but they will need to wear their shool jumper. They also will need a packed lunch and a drink. I have contacted the forest school today and they have assured me it would be unlikely for the trip to be cancelled as they do have provision within the facility to keep us dry if needs be.     This week the children were introduced to Mathilde. Mathilde is a french student who has come to help us in school learn more about the french culture and language. We welcome Mathilde to our school and look forward to working with her.

    It was a sad day today at Hatfield Woodhouse Pimary School, as we said goodbye to the class of 2012/2013.

    We have a great day with a leavers assembly, picnic, bouncy castle and a water fight (which was the highlight)!

  • Guitar Assembly Summer 2013

    Today the Key Stage two children who attend guitar lessons in school, performed the pieces of music that they have been learning over the course of the year.

    The children played groups pieces, as well as individuals performing solo pieces.

    We are very proud of the children's commitment to learning a new skill.

    The significant majority of pupils behave sensibly, enjoy school greatly and show very positive attitudes to school and learning.   • Tuishi Pamoja Leaver's Play (Year 6)

    Year 6 treated us to a wonderful performance of the play Tuishi Pamoja (Starshine music).

    They were supported by wonderful singers and dancers from Years 3 to 5.

    The play celebrates friendship through diversity, which is something we see and celebrate every day in our school.

    KS1 are looking forward to an exciting and funfilled afternoon with their Father's, Grand Dad's and uncles to join them in celebrating 'Father's Day'. Under no circumstance will this event will be cancelled.
