  • Ready, steady,cook!

    11th November 2015

    Thanks to Chartwells (the company who supply our school meals) all staff and pupils enjoyed a morning of 'ready, steday, cook.' We were all amazed with how the school hall had been transformed! Tim and Sarah both delivered and presented the morning, they selected 2 teachers to cook and 4 pupils to aid in cooking.

    Staff and pupils found lots of interesting information and facts out about food, also how quick it is to cook very healthy food. A fab day was had by all. The food was super tasty.

  • Race for life update

    Well done to all of the children, staff and parents for supporting us with the race for life.  We have raised a fantastic amount of money, the grand total to date is £1067.50!!

  • Xcite

    11th September 2015

    We are very excited to have Xcite in school to deliver our PE lessons this year. On top of this they will be delivering before and after school clubs on a Tuesday. There will also be opportunities for pupils to participate in local sporting events at other schools throughout the year.

  • FS2 enjoy balance bike fun in the sun!

    Look what fun FS2 were having in their PE lesson when Nichola from Baby Bunnies came into school to develop and improve their balance on balance bikes and balancing equipment.  FS2 had a fantastic afternoon!

  • Year 6 Yorkshire Wildlife Park

    10th July 2015

    On Friday the 10th July, Year 6 visited the Yorkshire Wildlife Park for their end of year trip.

    The weather was glorious and we had a fantastic time.

    This trip was paid for by money that they children raised through their enterprise activity - well done year 6!

    We will miss you all!

  • Sam and Mark - New Book launch!

    9th July 2015

    Eight pupils from our school, were lucky enough to meet TV presenters Sam and Mark from CBBC.  The children visited Hexthorpe Primary School and were able to listen to Sam and Mark read a part of their new book 'The Adventures of Long Arm'.  The book was very funny and we were lucky enough to be able to get our books signed by the authors!

    Thank you to Sam and Mark, and importantly Hexthorpe Primary for hosting the event.

  • School Achieves Achievement for All Award

  • Fathers Day Picnic

    21st June 2015

    On Friday, we hosted a Father's Day Picnic for the whole school.  Dad, uncles, grandads and brothers were invited to join us for a picnic and join in a range of activities including baking, drawing, DT challenges, Ipad work and much more.

    The day ended with dads taking part in a football match!

    A great day was had by all.  Thanks to all the dad for joining us and to all of the staff/PTA for their hard work! 

    We hope to see you all again next year!

  • Year 6 trip to London!

    Year 6 have returned from their trip to London, which celebrated British values.  Whilst we were there, we were lucky enough to experience the following:

    A tour of the Houses of Commons and the House of Lords

    Meeting our local MP - Caroline Flint

    A tour of the Chapel of St. Mary

    A tour of Downing Street

    We all had a great trip and would like to thank everyone involved! 

  • FS1 Trip to Boston Park Farm.

    Our little Tigers had a fabulous morning this Tuesday visiting our local farm to feed the animals, meet their babies and enjoy a very exciting tractor and trailer ride.  The sun was even shining too!

  • FS2 trip to The Tropical Butterfly House.

    Our Pandas enjoyed a fantastic day out this week as they visited the Tropical Butterfly House near Sheffield.  The children spent the day finding out about habitats, conservation, fur, feathers and scales.  We met and learnt about some very interesting animals, reptiles and mini beasts.  We also bumped into a few dinosaurs!

  • Easter Lunch

    To celebrate Easter Mrs Holgate treated all the children to a wonderful Easter lunch on the last day of term. There was even a raffle to win a Easter Egg!

  • Training Day

    24th March 2015

    Please note due to a staff training day school will be closed to pupils on Friday 27th March. All pupils will break up on Thursday 26th and return on Monday 13th April 2015.
