  • Busy Bees

    Our Busy Bees nurture group have been very busy throughout this half term. They have made a super display for Autumn and have now completed their Christmas decorating in our Breakfast Club.

  • Archbishop of York Young Leaders Project

    Well done to Obie who sent out his own letter to parents asking for advent calender donations. He wanted to make sure children who normally don't get anything for Christmas got a least one gift this year. We are pleased to report that parental support for this project was overwhelming with 70 calenders being donated. Thank you all once again for your continued support.

  • Children in Need Day

    All the children turned up today looking fabulous in their fancy dress, with spots galore to help fundraise for Children in Need. Thank you to our cook who also decorated the hall for our special dinner.

  • FS1 School Photographs

    FS1 children will be having their photos taken on Friday 11th November at 9.00am along with any absentees from the main session.

  • Parents Evening

  • Half Term

    Reminder School closes at 3.30pm on Friday 21st October for half term. There will be a Staff Training Day on Monday 31st October. School will reopen to pupils on Tuesday 1st November at 8.45am

    On Friday 7th October, we had a very exciting and unusual visitor to our school. A lady called Sherelle Hawes came to school to collect our school log books.  At first we were not really sure why this was such a special event, then our teacher and Sherelle went on to explain to us. Sherelle was from the Doncaster archives (a collection of historical documents or records providing information about a place, institution, or group of people), she brought with her a very large brown box.   • Harvest Celebration

    Hatfield Woodhouse Primary School is proud to share the news of our successful Harvest Festival. Firstly the School Council’s 15 members followed a democratic value and held a vote in order to make the decision as to which charity our proceeds would go to. After making the decision that this year Hatfield Woodhouse Primary School would like to raise money for charity, opposed to having a food collection, our School Council members took a second vote and it was concluded that all proceeds were to be donated

  • FS2 Trip to Austerfield Study Centre.

    Our perfect pandas enjoyed a fun-filled day at Austerfield.  They were busy all day looking for signs of Autumn, collecting Autumn treasures and creating some fabulous pieces of Autumn art.  Mrs Kantecki & Mrs Brooke are extremely proud of them all, as throughout the day they all showed they had impeccable manners and good listening!

  • Asthma Friendly school

    We are pleased to announce that we have just been accredited with Asthma Friendly School Status. After a brief presentation by Maria and Debbie all pupils with Asthma were presented with their own personalised box for the classroom to keep their care plans and inhalers in.

  • Hatfield Water Park - Year 5 annual visit

    As per Hatfield Woodhouse tradition, Year 5 visited the Hatfield water park this week!

    The aim of the visit was to focus on personal achievement and team-working skills.

    The children participated in high-rope and raft building activities.  They worked really hard and pushed themselves out of their comfort zones - physically and mentally.

    It was noted as being the "Best school trip ever!" - so it is safe to say that it was a success!

  • Year 6 - London

    21st June 2016

    Year 6 had a fantastic day in London. We caught the 8:30am train from Doncaster and were in London by 10am. We loved travelling on the underground and pupils rated this as their favourite activity! We enjoyed a guided tour of the Houses of Parliament, we were wowed by Big Ben and Westminster Abbey. We had photos at horseguards parade and had a walk down the Mall to Buckingham Palace. The pupils were amazing and the staff and parents who came too were a fantatsic help. A good day all round.

  • Cross Country

    Thank you to Mr Osborne for giving up his Saturday and taking some of our pupils to Hill House Cross Country event. They all tried very hard and enjoyed the atmosphere.

  • SPTA Games

    9th May 2016

    Some of our pupils took part last week in the SPTA Games at the England Institute of Sport at Sheffield. They did us all proud coming second overall in the primary school section, Well Done to all who took part. The pupils also received inspiration from the Gold Medallist Jessica Ennis-Hill.

  • Sunnybank Garden Centre

    9th May 2016

    Year 2 recently visited Sunnybank nursery as part of their plant - how do they grow? project. They had a lovely morning and enjoyed the delicious ice-cream as a treast at the end of their visit.
