Class Information

Dear parents/carers and children, welcome back, after what we hope was a well deserved rest for both you and the children. Our new topic for this half term will be ‘Rio de Vida’ where we will be learning about events across the world, carnivals and rainforests. This will include lots of creative activites and practical learning.

Mrs L Phillips - Teacher

I am currently the year 1 teacher and this is now my third year at Hatfield Woodhouse, my previous two years I spent teaching in FS1. I qualified in 2004 and taught in Barnsley before joining this school, which may I add, I love! My favourite subjects are art, maths and geography, I enjoy being able to teach children through practical experiences. I am 35 and have 3 daughters. There is 3 years and 3 days between the eldest and the yougest, which works well as they love spending time together and have similar interests. Olivia is currently in year 5, Jessica is in year 3 and Sophie, who was born 5 weeks premature is now in year 2. I have been with my husband for 16 years and when we get the chance to spend time as a family we do enjoy going outdoors, especially in the winter, we all really do love the snow!
